Excell Supply is Wales’ leading Education Specialist based in Mold, Flintshire. We are currently recruiting on behalf of a church school who we work very closely with in Wrexham. This role is starting in the new Autumn Term, September 2014 carrying on until the earliest Easter half term with a view to become permanent. The successful candidate will be working full term time (28.75 hours).
The school are seeking an SEN experienced teaching assistant to support a pupil in the Foundation Phase with extensive communication difficulties. The pupil has muscular dystrophy so although very mobile, requires constant supervision. Toileting help will be required for this role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a constructive working environment for pupils and be passionate about working with children.
As members of the REC (Recruitment & Employment Confederation) and Umbrella body to the DBS, (Disclosure & Barring Service) Excell Supply is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children. All applicants will be subject to through employment checks and must have an Enhanced DBS certificate in place.
The ideal candidate will have;
- A relevant Childcare/Learning Support Qualification or extensive experience within the classroom
- Experience working with in the foundation phase
- Experience and understanding of Makaton is essential for this post
- The ability to communicate, work flexibly and be reliable as continuity is of utmost importance for the development of the pupil
