Darland High School showed their community spirit by collecting over 541 kilograms of food to a local centre.

Two weeks of collections and contributions from staff, students and parents alike led to over half a ton of donations being handed over the food bank, with Darland High School assistant headteacher Lisa Easton saying: “We’re absolutely overwhelmed at the scale of the donation and the response we got from our students and parents in giving something back to the Wrexham community.”

A grateful , Project Manager for Wrexham Foodbank Sally Ellinson commented: “I’d like to offer a huge thank you to Darland High School for all of their support.

“It’s wonderful when schools collect for us over the harvest time, and their donation will help us to stock up over the months ahead and will allow us to continue serving those who come to us in need”.
