Letter of Application Workshop

A huge thank you to Head Teacher, Mrs Ruth Dyas of Ewloe Green School for running the “Application Letter Writing” workshop last week. It was an excellent opportunity and insight for our NQT’s.

Here is some of the feedback we have received from our teachers-

“It was invaluable to hear from a Head teacher what they are looking for within an application, particularly with regard to covering letters. I feel much more prepared to write my future applications following Ruth’s guidance.”

“I think the workshop was really good- particularly the examples of successful/not successful letters. I also thought the pack of information we received was useful, especially the part about layout of letters. More time to digest this and ask questions would have been good. Overall it was super useful and I would definitely recommend it.”

“Hearing the comments of Mrs Dyas and her deputy gave me a clearer understanding of what to put in an application letter. The accompanying notes also gave examples of good practice. For example the primary aim is to get short listed and ‘ make it easy for them to select you… show your good points and how you comply’. It was also helpful to hear the questions/ experience of other teachers who are searching for work.”
